"Cream of Wheat for Sail" by K.R. Wireman
This is a genuine ad from 1912 in a refinished custom frame.
I'm not sure what year the frame is from, but based on the way it was custom framed, I see that it is very old. The frame was disassembled (by myself) to check for authenticity of the ad. The ad was part of a magazine and on the backside there is a "Goodyear Tire" ad.
The frame was sanded, painted with Behr Antique Bronze and then distressed. One of the mats surrounding the image is also painted in Behr Antique Bronze, surrounded by a light mauve mat. The frame was then put back together the way it originally was when purchased (nailed) and the back was recovered with paper. It is wired to be hung on the back.
The Cream of Wheat ad does have some damage that is visible in the images here, however I think the damage gives it a little more personality.
