Lionel No.50 Post War O Gauge Gang Car w/Offset Horn w/OB - Ready to Run

This is a Lionel O Gauge Post War 50 Gang Car. This entertaining small, motorized unit was introduced by Lionel in 1954 with immense success. The large blue bumpers on each end are mounted on a sliding contact plate. When the Gang Car strikes a track bumper, the plate slides, and the Gang Car reverses direction. The olive-green figure at the end of the car also swivels when this happens. Action will continue in this manner until track power is shut off. This version of this car has the right offset location of the ornamental horn, and the V-shape of the sliding bracket ends so it is from around 1955-57. This item has been completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and evaluated. All three figures appear to have been replaced recently.The motor brushes and springs, and the center rail pickup roller have been replaced.
