At the beginning of the book there is a name and year written " Willmina Townes 1929"
By research I have found a Willmina Townes who appears to have been an author of educational books in the mid 20th.
There are also notes on the back of another pages, most probably her own notes too.
"The Twelve illustrations in this volume are reproduced from original drawings by the Author"
